MEMORIAL FOR GISELE TURGEON-BARRY - SUNDAY -APRIL 17th - AT SHPSC ON RYDE STREET

Memorial for:  GISELE TURGEON-BARRY

(Gisele Turgeon at the Joe Beef Market - 2008)

As mentioned in a previous post, Gisèle Turgeon-Barry, the President of the Point St. Charles History Society, passed away on April 4th 2011.

Since most of her family live in Québec City, services for her were held in that city.

However, the Point History Society, along with the PSC Community Theatre, an organization called Pro-Jeunes, and other groups in the Point have all agreed that we should have some kind of event in memory of Gisèle – here in the Point.

So, we decided that on Sunday, April 17th, from 3pm to 5pm,

we would open the doors at our

Point History Society office

to allow people an opportunity to meet and remember Gisèle.

Our History Society offices, (which are large enough to accommodate many people), are located in the old school at:

Société d'histoire de Pointe-Saint-Charles
2390 Ryde, Suite 206
Montréal, Québec
H3K 1R6

So if you would like to take a moment to remember Gisèle, a special lady that cared deeply about the history of our Point neighbourhood, and contributed a tremendous amount of her volunteer time to various Point St. Charles organizations, - then please do drop by next Sunday between 3 and 5…

.........
